Factory Compliance for Vighnaharta Infrastructures & Engineers
Navigating factory plan approvals, CLRA registration, and statutory compliances for a growing infrastructure company's new fabrication unit in Pune.
Client Background
Vighnaharta Infrastructures & Engineers is a Pune-based infrastructure development company specialising in civil construction and engineering projects. With a new fabrication unit being set up in the Talegaon MIDC area, they needed complete compliance support under the Factories Act 1948 and Contract Labour Act.
The Challenge
The client had a 4-month deadline to operationalise their fabrication unit. They required Factory Plan Approval, registration under the Factories Act 1948, CLRA registration for contract labour, and compliance with Maharashtra Factory Rules 1963. Their internal team had no prior experience with factory compliance and was struggling with the documentation and coordination with the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH).
Our Approach
- Conducted a detailed site assessment and prepared factory plan drawings as per DISH requirements
- Filed and followed up on Factory Plan Approval with the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health
- Secured Form 1A registration, CLRA licence, and Shop & Establishment Act registration in parallel
- Provided ongoing liaison support with DISH inspectors for the mandatory inspections
- Set up a compliance calendar for annual returns and renewals
